By the lake

We are waiting for the rain.

The weather forecasts foretell thunderstorms, but nothing has happened since the morning - it's still hot and scorching.

We are going for a walk along the forest promenade by the lake, which is an educational trail about the forest and its resources.

As part of the festival, lectures on various topics are held outdoors, by the lake.

There we meet a group listening to stories about "The musical landscapes of old Pomerania."

We observe various activities on the lake - kayaks, pedal boats, boats and pontoons with purely electric motors and SUPs, which is something between a kayak and a surfboard, on which one stands or kneels and waves an oar!

On the beach, there are fewer people, as the heat scares them away. I guess.

In the afternoon, two films: Another one by Lech Majewski - "Gospel According to Harry" and "Baptism" by Jakub Skoczeń.

The first one is a 1994 retrospective of the Artist’s films, about American society. Majewski found locations for this movie in the dunes of Słowiński Park (near Łeba).

Brief explanation of the title: The Gospel in the US is the tax law and Harry is a tax inspector.

A clear, sharp satire in a grotesque artistic form.

The second movie  takes place the day before the imposition of martial law in a mountain village in Poland where a family is getting ready for the baptism of a grandson - a bastard.

The role of Katarzyna Figura deserves all awards!

Unfortunately, the actress did not appear at the scheduled meeting. For reasons beyond the control of the organizers.

And at the end of the day - storm and rain! At last!
