Movies, movies, movies...

It's time to start the festival feast - watching the films included in the program.

I do not intend to write a review, but if any of the films makes an "electrifying impression", I will be happy to share this experience with you.

Ińsko is the name of the town and the lake. The Ińsko Film Summer takes place here - literally by the lake. The center of this event is the "Morena" cinema, which remembers all editions of the festival, retaining its charm of old times to this day. Both in the positive and in the less positive sense of the word.

Just think, there was a cinema in a commune with several thousand inhabitants in the years of the People's Republic of Poland!

Just this place inspired some enthusiasts who had the idea, many years ago, of bringing to the lake - the so-called wide world. And they were successful!

From today, for a few days, we will be taking part in this festival of cinema.

But first:

"IŃSKO Summer Film Festival is one of the oldest cyclical film events in Poland, promoting films of high artistic value. He focuses in particular on the cinematography of Eastern Europe and the phenomena that affect the subject of cultural distinctiveness in world cinema. A lot of space is occupied by images that courageously comment on the changes taking place in the contemporary world. The festival also promotes the cinema of young filmmakers.

The first edition of the festival had a comedy profile. A year later, the event was expanded to include studio sessions. During the first editions, you could watch films by Visconti, Saura, Bergman, Jancso, Angelopoulos, Bunuel, Zafranović and other leading European visionaries of cinema.

For years, a permanent place in the program of the Iński Film Summer has been shown by screenings of the latest Polish films combined with meetings with filmmakers. The guests of the charming Ińsko were, among others Agnieszka Holland, Jerzy Kawalerowicz, Piotr Szulkin, Jan Jakub Kolski, Jan Kidawa-Błoński, Grzegorz Królikiewicz, Robert Gliński, Maciej Drygas, Jerzy Hoffman, Krzysztof Zanussi ...

Currently, the event is organized by: The Ińsko Summer Film Association and the Municipal and Municipal Office in Ińsko."
